A regular movie watcher in theatres during weekend..

It’s been quite a while I haven’t published posts to my blog page. Rather I was thinking of some generic topics which can come and strike my mind. But it didn’t happen for sometime. Recently many of my friends commented on one of my habit which I will never ever forget to do during every weekend, what’s that?? It’s none other than watching movies in theatres. I am not so crazy about movies to be honest. At the same time I will not miss even a single weekend (on Sunday’s) to go to a theatre. I am just thinking for sometime why I am like this?? Can I spend the weekend without visiting a theatre?? Lot of questions does come to mind when I think about it.

I watch Tamil ones, the English ones and sometimes the Hindi ones too. I am not able to speak Hindi fluently, but I can try to speak and at the same time I can very well understand Hindi. This gives me an option to watch some Hindi movies too. When I meet my colleagues on Monday or when I meet some of my friends outside, the 2 questions what they used to ask me are,

What was the movie you watched last weekend??
How was it??

I think they take it by default that would have been for a movie. My reply to them also for their 1st question will be always ‘Yes’ and for the 2nd question I generally give a positive feedback about the movie. But unfortunately every time when my friends/colleagues go for that movie the next weekend, they will come back to me saying that movie is not so good or up to the mark. But when I come out of the theatre most of the times I felt the movie was ok for 3 hrs of time pass. But later I understood that my friends have gone to see a different type of a movie. This made me to identify the difference between why I go for a movie and why they go for it? My motto is to spend some 3 hrs of time outside my home at least on Sundays’. Sometimes I prefer beach for a change. I am not interested in doing a shopping/ window shopping at some big shopping malls. The real reason is generally my month-end starts at 15th of every month. So I would prefer to avoid shopping. Window shopping will tempt me to purchase something and I will end up with purchasing them by a just swiping my credit card. These dumped card payment dues will bring down my next month’s month-end from 15th to 10th. So I skip this option and I ended up with a last option of going out for a movie. It’s always nice to see some good English movies and high budget Tamil/Hindi movies in theatres. Basically you will get a good effect and feel of that movie. That’s one reason I prefer this option. But some times I ended up with going to theatre to watch a dumb movie. Recently I tried to escape from one of the theatre during interval, as that Tamil movie was so horrible to watch from the beginning. But fate, my escape attempt was unsuccessful as the theatre gate was closed and no one was standing nearby to open the gate. So I left helpless to watch the second part of that too. That weekend was undoubtedly spoiled because of that movie.


Finally I have made up my mind to stay away from taking these types of risks very frequently. May be once in 2 months I can take this risk but not very often. Nowadays (from last weekend), I have started reading some movie reviews on websites and started asking my friends about the movies what they have seen and how was it?? If I get a favorable answer then only I am planning to go for it. It’s enough of spending money on watching those useless movies. Thanks to my good friends who had helped me in changing this habit of mine.

Maturity - A voice of dignity

'Maturity' is something which should grow as we get into each and every steps of life. Present generation kids are mostly over-matured which is troublesome sometimes and immaturity is also a problem among some human beings. When I mean maturity as a term, here it signifies to how correctly we are reacting to the situation, how correctly we are taking decisions in our life, how much stubborn we are in our decisions and so on. In general this term shapes a human being to the great extent.

When do we feel that we are getting matured mentally? When I have taken a correct decision in my future career? Or When I am able to maintain my decency in public? Or When I am true to my family? Or When I support my family on all circumstances? Or When I am able to learn from my mistakes and correct myself? It’s very simple. When your activities and course of action yields you positive results for the above questions, it’s a sign of maturity in our self. Not only these questions, there are so many like these, which tests our mental stability. And when we are able to clear all these tests without anyone’s guidance then we are definitely matured.

Most of them feel that at present they are not fully matured. But however we are getting matured day by day. The situations and problems what we face in our daily life creates a sort of mental stability in our self which in turn guides us to take correct decisions. So unless and until we face any situation in our life, it’s difficult to plan a course of action. First time for the same situation we would have taken a wrong decision, however when we face the same situation again our mind tends to eliminate the wrong decision what we had taken first. So in this way maturity comes to play in our life.

Friends of my age used to tell me that when they stay alone, they have to take their own decisions and they have to plan for themselves everyday. So in this way they feel that they are getting matured. But were the decisions taken are correct? They have no one to guide them for the first time. Sometimes those hasty decisions will overlook its impacts.
First stage of maturity needed an emphatic listening and correct understanding of the situation or problem. The second stage needed a well planned course of action and final stage needed a fine-tuning of our activities in accordance to the situation. When we are able to cope-up our self to all the three stages, it gives us an inference of good matured thinking.

I remember one saying on maturity stated by William Stekel. It’s a good saying. This is where matured person distinguishes himself from an immature person.

‘The immature man wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mature man wants to live humanely for one’

Well educated people sometimes tend to take wrong decisions. It’s because they are not matured enough to find out the correct solution/decision. I would conclude by saying that higher level of maturity in every individual helps them to lead a disciplined, dignified and a happier life.

Trekking has shown us the mind-blowing, different & beautiful Ooty.

‘Nature at its best!!!’ I would say when I had a chance to visit the different and very rare lovely spots in Ooty which I haven’t heard of in my life, not only for me but also for everyone. When it comes to Ooty, what comes to everyone’s mind is that the lovely botanical garden with beautiful flower shows and chill climate.

When I planned my trip with my colleagues to Ooty, we have also decided to go and hit the same place obviously. But nature God turned its way down and invited us to come and visit its own gifted and very awesome places in surrounding areas of Ooty. Probably these places would be still unknown to most of the people who had Visited Ooty. No more surprises on what that place is going to be? It’s a place called as ‘Western Catchment’. Is it place with full of waterfalls? Or is it a place with full of flowers? Or is it place surrounded with a huge lake?? Lot of thoughts went around in our mind when the trip organizer in Ooty (Kuttan – 9843558382) had mentioned about this place. Whether is it worth to visit that place? Whether it will convince our satisfaction? Finally after visiting that place nature God answered to all of our questions by not in words, but by the way we expressed our satisfaction and happiness. What a feel we had after reaching that place. I would say it’s an amazing spot and that day was an extraordinary moment in my life.



First and foremost I would tell you how to go to that place. It’s a valley region located near the Mukurthi national park. This place is located around 25 Kms from main Ooty. Take a Jeep and reach this park and then what is needed is bit of walk. Sorry not a bit but a distance of around 7Kms we have to cover by walk to reach this nature’s very best gifted place. Earlier Jeep can cover this 7Km as well. But recently there were some land slides and due to which at some point the road was not really helping vehicles to pass by. Hence to go and come back we have to walk 15 Kms (to & fro). The roadway is so nice and we can do a normal walk. Climbing or walking over a steep path is not there. At one point we have to be bit careful while crossing the road point which was hit by landslide. That’s not so risky anyways. Go with a bunch of friends and you can reach that place while chatting with your friends in parallel.



Secondly, the next doubt/concern what would arise is on how is that place is going to be? I am going to walk 15 Kms, so what do I get when I go there? Let me put to you in very simple words. It’s a greenish valley all the way around surrounding you when you walk 7 kms. One point you will feel does that greenish valley is chasing you!! It’s a reserved forest area and forest officers (1/2) will accompany you. So don’t get scared of anything. This trekking is very safe. When you go with your digital/handy camera, then your camera is one of the gifted devices I would say, as it’s going to perform lots of clicks on those greenish valleys. Everywhere you go and wherever you turn around you can see lots of greenish sceneries and you will be continuously doing clicks on your camera. Climate will be awesome as it’s a valley region and there will not be sweating also. So you can rock your trekking and continue to entertain your eyes and camera lens. Those greenish valleys will offer themselves as green carpets welcoming for a nice feast to our eyes and cameras. Since it’s a forest area and if you are really lucky, then you can get a chance to see some deers, tigers and wild buffalo’s. Fortunately we had a chance to see some 4/5 deers crossing us. While passing we can see some waterfalls and some plants of herbal types too. If the climate supports you then you will have an awesome time there. Photos, photos and everywhere different and mind-blowing landscapes. Go till the end, as the end point will be miraculous and amazing. Probably with a normal walk we can go there spend time and come back in 5/6 hours. 4 hrs for to & fro walk, 1 hr to spend in the end point, 30 mins for rest in-between and 30 mins for your camera clicks.

ஒரு தத்துவ இயல் பேராசிரியர் தன்னுடைய வகுப்பில் பாடத்தை துவங்கு வதற்கு முன்னர் கையில் ஒரு சில பொருட்களுடன் அமைதியாக மாணவர்கள் எதிரிலேயே நின்று கொண்டிருந்தார். வகுப்பு ஆரம்பித்த உடன் எதுவும் பேசாமல் தனது கையிலிருந்த பெரிய ஜாடியினை மாணவர்களின் முன் வைத்து அந்த வெற்று ஜாடியினுள் ஒரு சில கோல்ப் பந்துகளை இட்டு அதனை நிறைத்தார்.

அவ்வாறு செய்த பிறகு மாணவர்களைப் பார்த்து இந்த ஜாடி நிறைந்து விட்டதா? என வினவினார். மாணவர்களும் நிறைந்தது என ஒப்புக் கொண்டனர். அதன் பிறகு பேராசிரியர் தான் கொண்டு வந்திருந்த கூழாங்கற்களை எடுத்து அதனையும் அந்த ஜாடிக்குள் போட்டு குலுக்கினார். அந்த கூழாங்கற்கள் கோல்ப் பந்துகளின் உள்ள இடைவெளிகளில் நிரம்பியது. மீண்டும் மாணவர்களைப் பார்த்து இந்த ஜாடி நிறைந்து விட்டதா? என வினவினார். மாணவர்களும் ஒருமித்த‌ குர‌லில் ஒப்புக் கொண்டனர்.

அடுத்தாக‌ பேராசிரிய‌ர் ம‌ணல் நிர‌ம்பிய‌ பெட்டியினை எடுத்து அந்த பெட்டியிலிருந்து ஜாடியினுள் ம‌ணலைக் கொட்டினார். இப்பொழுது ஜாடியினை மணலான‌து முழுவ‌துமாக‌ நிர‌ம்பியிருந்த‌து. மீண்டும் ஒரு முறை இந்த ஜாடி நிறைந்து விட்டதா? என வினவினார். மாணவர்களும் ஆம் என‌ ஒப்புக் கொண்ட‌ன‌ர். மேலும் பேராசிரிய‌ர் இர‌ண்டு குவ‌ளையில் தேநீர் த‌யாரித்து அத‌னையும் அந்த‌ ஜாடியினுள் ஊற்றினார். அந்த‌ தேநீரான‌து எஞ்சியுள்ள‌ அனைத்து வெற்று இட‌ங்க‌ளையும் மணல்க‌ளின் உள்ளே சென்று நிர‌ம்பிய‌து. இத‌னைக் கண்ட‌ மாண‌வர்க‌ள் அனைவரும் சிரித்த‌ன‌ர்.

How to make fun out of your friend - Part 2 – Singapore bride

Try differently is always our gang’s motto. Whatever it may be. Be it in the work or while making fun out of our friends.

Objective: This time we have decided to make our comedy piece believe whatever we tell. Also at the same time we have to be very real while building the story. He should not get to know that whatever we are telling is just a lie. So the topic should be something in which he can really pay attention and also we should get a chance to tell hell lot of stories simultaneously.

Incident: In this conversation there are 4 people - I, Friend 1(F1), Friend 2(F2) and our Comedy piece (C.P) are involved.

Last Thursday I initiated the conversation and decided to make him fun out of him again.

I: Hey da (to C.P), do you know that our Friend1 (F2) is going to get engaged soon
C.P: Oh is it?? When?? He didn’t tell me about this.
I: No da he was thinking of informing all once his engagement goes fine.
C.P: But he told you. Same way he could have informed me also (getting into our trap)
I: Leave it da. His personal interest... What we can do...
C.P: Ok. By the way what is that Bride girl doing now?
I: She is working in Singapore. She is his distant family relation.
C.P: Oh super da. Have you seen her already? (Gave a point for me to build up further)
I: Yes, he has shown her photo to me once. She was looking cute.
F1: To make our C.P believe further, yes da I have seen her too. She is looking good.
C.P: Nice da. When these things happened? Though I was in the gang no one shared
these things to me. You people use me as comedy piece. Never shared any good
news’ like this. I am angry on F2 (guy for whom we have fixed that Singapore girl)
I: Leave it da. Why are you taking it serious? Be cool and calm.
F1: Yes da (to C.P). He will tell you one day personally. Keep quiet till then.
C.P: No da I wanted to ask him why he didn’t tell me. Generally he calls me first if he
wanted to have fun (damaging himself). Same way he could have told me about this.
I: Hey da just leave it.
C.P: No. I am going to call him (F2) and ask him about this.

My friend F2 was in his native. He doesn’t know that we have built up another story in his absence. We thought he will tell the truth to our C.P. But just follow what happened.

F2: After picking up C.P’s call. Hey tell me da how are you and what’s up then?
C.P: You didn’t tell me one thing, which you shared it with all others.
F2: Hey da. What’s that matter? Why I am going to hide it from you. Tell me which one
you are talking about?
C.P: Your engagement matter only.


Fate, F2 also got tuned into it and he understood that we have built up some story and he has decided to add some matter to it. We are saved this time. Rather C.P got into our trap perfectly.

F2: Sorry da. I thought I will come and tell you. But you got to know it before.
C.P: Ok da. You just wanted to avoid it from me.

I and F1 were trying to console our C.P to make it a real scene. He was bit angry that time. F2 don’t know that who is that girl and what is she doing, and where she is now.

C.P: How is she doing in Singapore and how is her work going? (Asked to F2)
F2: (Got to know that the imaginary girl is in Singapore and she is working now with this question from C.P). Yes she is fine.
C.P: Oh okay. Started speaking to her daily? What is her name?
F2: Her name is XXXX. She is fine and yeah we are talking over phone daily for more
than 30mins. I have her photo (extra build up) and will come and show you.

We don’t know whose photo he is going to show to our C.P:

C.P: Any way my hearty wishes da. Enjoy (he cut the call)
I: So what he said? Did he tell anything about that girl?
C.P: Yes he said he will come here and show her photo to me.


See our C.P’s innocence. This is what his weakness and this is where we are playing around him like anything. Once my friend (F2) comes to office on Tuesday after vacation he might reveal the truth that these are build-ups’. If he really wishes to continue this game, he might show some girls photo also. Who knows? Let’s wait and see on Tuesday what happens?


Long live our C.P.

How to make fun out of your friend - Part 1

Friends are always God's gifts to us. When we are alone it’s always the friends who take away our loneliness by accompanying us. Good friends always share our pain and pleasure. I am also very lucky to get lots of good friends at my workplace. During tea, lunch and snacks time we often meet and will have lot of chit-chats and keep our desk at cafeteria like a fun place always. There is no reason to keep quiet when I am at cafeteria with my friends. Some of them are very easy going/casual and rest others are bit sentimental too. So be careful in choosing who is your gang’s comedy piece? He should be an eligible guy with cool character and practical thinker.

So I and two of my friends have decided to make fun out of that guy (eligible comedy piece from our gang!!!). For the past two days we called him and spoke to him over phone during the night time as if we were totally boozed. He was trying to advice us not to booze and he was not really sure for what reason we drank. We scolded him very badly and we were trying to pull some of our other friends also. But he is the one and only lucky guy who got into our trap. My friend was scolding about me to him and the same time I have also started scolding my other friend to him. He was confused why we are scolding. We have created a scene as if my friend had a love failure and he has started to booze regularly. So we have started calling him daily and he was advising us daily. Yesterday evening we have decided to make a good fun out of him. I and my friend had met and decided to call him again. He was bit hesitant to pick up my friend’s call, as he knew that he would have boozed heavily. So he wanted to stay away from hearing bad words and non-stop nonsense’s. But we never left him. He kept on calling him and he picked up the call at last. He started scolding him for not picking up the call.

Meanwhile our comedy piece called me and told me that my other friend is continuously calling him and disturbing him. My other friend is a very good actor and he acted as if he had really boozed. He told him that he wanted to meet me and so he asked my address to him. He also told him that I was not picking up the call. Our comedy piece called and told me the same. I told him not to give my address as he had boozed. Also I said not to pick up his call again. Fate, what to do?? He called him again and asked my home land-line no to reach me. Our master replied that he don’t have my home no. My friend asked him in turn to get it from IT minister (good actor trying to blabber as if he is boozed). For that the reply from our master was 'IT minister won’t have my landline no'. Wow!!! What a reply from our master. I don’t know who had boozed really yesterday.

After this conversation my friend had cut the call. All this phone conversations happened in front of me, as my friend came to meet me yesterday night. Our master without knowing this called me and repeated the conversations once again. We have decided to go deeper into this.

Think before drinking tea while traveling by Indian Railway (IRCTC) . Following are some of the unknown reasons which will make all of us to stop having tea going forward during the train journey.

1. Caters use toilet water for making tea
2. Your tea is made in a special zone near toilet.
3. Bath heater is used for making tea.
