Kandasamy movie - A short review

Cheeyan Vikram and Shriya played the lead roles. Vikram is a CBI officer and Shreya is a daugher of a big shot Aashish Vidyathi, who is one among the big money launderer's in city. Supporting roles done by Prabhu, who played a DIG officer role, Telugu actor Krishna acted as CBI chief officer, to whom Vikram reports to. Vadivelu's comedy track is totally unnecessary to this story, though 2/3 comedy tracks of him have come out well. Susi Ganesan directed this movie, it was produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu and music compostion was done by D.S.Prasad.

Movie had earlier setup a higher expectation. I was expecting a movie of 'Robin hood' type. But when I had a chance to watch this movie, I never felt anything new has been done. Movie was shot in India and some part in Mexico.

Basic thought of movie subject was 'Rich gets richer and poor becomes poorer'. Story begins with a network of school friends tries to change the above said statement by starting to solve poor people's money problems through rich people's black money. Hero's introduction with a different costume was nice. Costume design and get-up's are really the plus point for this movie. Story sequence can be easily judged, though some part of the story was kept secret for some time.
I would say this movie is a mere combination of Sivaji (Money laundering), Indian (Anti-corruption) and Ramana (network of school friends carry out activities to prevent money laundering and corruption). Kandasamy has a mix of all subjects in it. 'Alegrah' and 'Excuse me' songs have come out well.

Basic belief among people is that, Lord Kandasamy will solve their problems when they write their request in a bit of paper and tie it in a tree located in front of Lord Kandasamy temple. Actually Prabhu will find out at last that it is Vikram and his network (school friends) are helping to solve the poor people's money problems on Lord's behalf by making use of the big shot's black money, who are involved in large money laundering scandals. Climax part gets over by conveying a strong message to the society at the end.

Screenplay is a plus point. Though it goes for 31/2 hours, I never felt boring at all during the course of the movie. Cinematography was nice. Photorgraphy was good too. I would say D.S. Prasad's BGM is a key factor for this movie's successful screenplay. It was carrying the movie so nicely all the way.

Cheeyan's fans can watch this movie once or twice. For others it’s a one time watch.
